Is The Weeknd’s fake plastic surgery an excavation at the former Bella Hadid?

Sales and gloves have come out at The Weeknd.

The 30-year-old “Starboy” singer surprised his fans with his new music video “Save Your Tears”, removing the bloody bandages he has had throughout his “After Hours” era.

The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, revealed a dramatically altered face with exaggerated prostheses that appeared to mimic severe plastic surgery, which fans believe could be an excavation of his famous ex, Bella Hadid.

“Did Bella Hadid have anything to refer to The Weeknd to her plastic surgeon?” One person said. he tweeted. “The Weeknd is trying to look like Bella Hadid bc, I can see that,” wrote another.

A third dit, “The Weeknd is definitely wrapping up Bella Hadid with all the plastic surgery issues.”

Hadid has repeatedly denied rumors of plastic surgery, as has his mother, Yolanda Hadid. “None of my kids have ever done fillings or botox or put anything weird on their body,” the former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star told a fan in 2019. “They know better after seeing what I passed”.

In “Save Your Tears”, The Weeknd sings: “I saw you dancing in a room full of people / You look so happy when I’m not with you / But then you saw me, it surprised you / A single tear falls from yours eye “.

The former couple started dating someone in 2015 and separated in 2016, but reunited in 2017 after the singer had a ten-month relationship with Selena Gomez.

In 2019, a few weeks after separating once again, Hadid and Tesfaye had a date at the Catch One nightclub. According to reports, the model left after her ex appeared, which could be the incident to which the song refers.

However, fans are divided on whether “Save Your Tears” is about Hadid or Gomez; some claim hear him whisper the name of the latter in the middle of the song, and they believe that the woman in the music video is Gómez’s doppelgänger. Coincidentally, Gomez released a song earlier this year called “Crowded Room”.

No matter the motivation, it’s clear that The Weeknd makes a statement about Hollywood beauty standards.
