Two data reveal how quickly the new Mu variant of the coronavirus, COVID-19, is moving, a strain that has shown resistance to vaccines in early tests.
In the United States it is already present in all states except Nebraska and in the United Kingdom, authorities confirmed that the first 53 cases of the strain of Colombian origin were detected, according to Public Health England (PHE).
The English Daily Mail cites government sources who admit to being “very concerned” about the growth of the mutant strain.

Not so contagious
The first background of Mu is that while it is more contagious than the original virus, it is not as contagious as the Delta variant.
The aspect of concern for Mu is its resistance to vaccines, which it has launched in the first analyzes.
Although its level of infection would be less than that of the Delta, if it has attracted attention how quickly it has increased in the United States, where the figures already reach 1,750 infected.
