It is believed that the remains of the missing iron cannon found in Lake Milton

AKRON, Ohio – On Sunday, at the Wadsworth Police Department and the Medina County Prosecutor’s Office, human remains were found Sunday at Lake Milton, which is believed to have lost the iron cannon.

Iron Cannon, 27, disappeared on October 18, 2020. His sister, Teala Elkins, said his brother left his home on Grant Street and went to a club but never returned home. . He told his nephew that he was on his way home, but that he never arrived.

What had begun as a missing person case later became a Cannon body recovery case. Throughout the investigation, detectives learned that there was a complicated cover-up, which consisted of significant efforts to deceive law enforcement, police said in a press release.

Wadsworth police, with the help of the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department and the Ohio Division of Natural Resources, recovered human remains from Lake Mahoning County on Sunday.

Although the remains have not yet been officially identified through the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiners Office, authorities said the location and condition of the remains lead all parties involved to trust that the remains are, in fact, Cannon.
