It is possible that Prince William, Kate Middleton, will relocate to Windsor

Prince William and Kate Middleton are considering moving to the English city of Windsor to be closer to the Queen, according to a report.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are “seriously considering” the possibility of moving closer to Windsor Castle and are studying properties in the Great Windsor Park area, the Telegraph reports.

Prince William and his wife now divide their time between Kensington Palace in London and Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

One option for his family of five may be Frogmore House, which was the venue for the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in May 2018.

The unoccupied estate is less than half a mile from Windsor Castle, to which the Queen plans to return and use it as a permanent base once she returns from her summer holidays, the outlet reported.

Royal sources said the family movement would allow them to support a 95-year-old monarch since the death of her husband, Prince Phillip, earlier this year.

The potential move also occurs as the couple takes on a higher role in the royal family, especially after Harry and Meghan left office.
