An elderly Scottish woman was found dead at home after failing to show up for the COVID-19 vaccine, and authorities now believe her body may have been there for 12 years, according to reports .
Christina Malley, now in her 80s, was discovered last month at her home in Cover, where she lived with her husband, Daniel, according to the Daily Record.
The nurses went home to look for Malley after he did not show up for the appointment with the vaccine, the center reported.
When authorities called, her husband said he had gone abroad, the outlet reported.
But later his body was discovered inside the house, prompting a police investigation.
Police are still working to determine how she died, but said she may have been dead by the age of twelve, the media reported.
A police spokesman confirmed the discovery of a woman’s body at the home.
“The death is being treated as inexplicable and investigations are continuing,” the spokesman said at the exit.
Neighbors were stunned to learn that Daniel had married.
“I’ve never seen him with a woman in all the time I’ve lived here,” a resident told Sun.
“It makes me shudder when I think I could have been lying in the house all this time. Why was there no smell or flies? It’s so weird. “
