Italian police are investigating on Thursday alleged violations of the rules against the COVID-19 of the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, forward of Juventus Turin, and his girlfriend, the Spanish Georgina Rodriguez, who are leaving this Tuesday and Wednesday in Courmayeur, in Aosta Valley, despite being banned from leaving his region, Piedmont.
Aosta Police are investigating Cristiano after he and his girlfriend posted, and then deleted, a video on their social media in which they are seen enjoying a day in the snow of Courmayeur, according to Italian media.
Contacted by EFE, the Aosta Police said that at this time can not give details when dealing with internal information.
Cristiano, who was not part of Juventus’ call-up in the 4-0 Italian Cup match on Wednesday against Spal de Ferrara, decided to travel to Courmayeur to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday.
However, Italian regulations to limit the spread of coronavirus provide that it is not possible to leave the regions that are part of the so-called “orange zone”, such as Piedmont, unless these are extraordinary cases planned, such as a travel to visit the second home.
