Filmmaker Eduardo de l’Llano announced on Monday his withdrawal from the social media Facebook: “It’s no longer so easy for me to get refills,” he said.

“I bring you news that for some will be good, for others not so much. I will not continue to post on Facebook, I’m leaving this shit,” said de Llano in what seems to be his last appearance in the social network.

“On the one hand my personal circumstances have changed, it’s no longer so easy for me to get refills, it’s not that it’s impossible it’s just that it’s become more difficult. It only means why I do it today, not why I do it. I do it in general. I’m tired of this shit, “he said.

The filmmaker referred that there is a group of people who follow his publications with respect and attention, who may or may not agree, but in whom he always generates healthy debates. Still, “most of the time I think I’m throwing daisies at pigs and I’m bored of that.”

“Besides, I’m really fed up with people who say I try to get along with both sides, swim between two waters, that I’m bipolar. I consider myself one of the freest people out there on Facebook and the internet. I really say what I think on one side and on the other, I say what is wrong on one side and on the other, “he added.

“Most of the shore on the other side I do not say they are paid by the CIA, some will be, but in their fury to give the latest news simply put a band of the truth and for them Cuba is just a endless sum of scarcity and repression, ”the filmmaker said.

He also acknowledged that cyber calls to the Cuban government service, which are the ones that justify everything and everything seems good to them, respond to an agenda.

“I do not respond to an agenda, I say what I think is right or wrong from both places. My sympathies are with the left, but I do not justify everything that is done on behalf of the left,” he said.

“To those who say I try to get along with the system and the government to get prebends, I can guarantee that what is achieved with this is that they hate you from both sides. So if my interest were to get along well with both sides I’m doing it wrong enough. I’m just saying what I think, I’m not guided by any agenda and I’m saying what’s right and what’s wrong. ” add.

De l’Llano said people think the world is divided between countries that live well and Cuba. “If so, believe me I would be more angry than the people of St. Isidore, and believe me that is a lot to say.”

Finally, the filmmaker expressed, “I’m sick of this beast, I’m a writer and a filmmaker.”

Eduardo de la Llano argued that he would focus on his work as a creator. “I’ll keep up with my work and they can put their Facebook wherever they fit.”

The Cuban filmmaker, author of the Nicanor O’Donnell short film series, has been a controversial figure on social media in recent times, for his constant defenses to the island’s political system.

Recently, in the face of the violent behavior of the Minister of Culture with young artists, de la Llano said that what happen was a “bajanada” that he does not deserve to be described as “repression, horror, and dictatorship.”

On another occasion the filmmaker said that supports what people opposed to the Cuban regime they call it “the bloody Castro dictatorship.”
