It’s official, Funimation is releasing its anime app on Switch this week

Last weekend, the anime streaming service Animation teased a Nintendo Switch app, which has now been officially confirmed.

The first (and only) anime streaming application on the hybrid system will arrive in the US and Canada on December 15th. Other than that, it is “coming soon” to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Mexico and various other countries.

In celebration of this announcement, Funimation has provided a “refreshing rework” for the app. If you’ve already used it on other sites, you’ll now notice the new look and feel, all the new quotations, the “My Anime” page, the launch schedule – so you can stay up to date on all the latest ips and more.

The release of the animation app on the Nintendo Switch will be released on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
