James Harden, Brooklyn Nets guard, suffers setback in hamstring rehabilitation indefinitely

James Harden, a Brooklyn Nets goalie, has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury, the team announced Tuesday.

Harden was conducting a “rehabilitation session on the track” Monday when the mishap occurred, according to a team statement.

The Nets said Harden had an MRI on Tuesday and will remain out indefinitely.

“We’re back in the first place,” Nets coach Steve Nash said. “He’ll be back when he comes back. It could be the playoffs. Maybe it’s sooner.”

Harden has missed the last six Nets games. He last played on April 5 against the New York Knicks when he recorded just four minutes of play before suffering a strain. Harden had been treating some hamstring strain before exacerbating the problem against the Knicks.

Harden averages 25.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 10.9 assists per game for the Nets.
