James Harden Injury: Networks star indefinitely

Brooklyn Nets star James Harden will be out indefinitely after suffering a setback Monday in recovering from a hamstring injury, the team said Tuesday.

Harden, who until recently rarely lost time due to injury, has lost the last six games with tension in his right leg muscle, resulting from an injury he suffered during the Nets ’win over his former Houston team on March 31st.

Harden returned to the court on April 5, but lasted just four minutes in the Nets ’win over the Knicks, and has been out ever since.

MRI scans showed a grade 1 hamstring injury and Harden had been on the verge of returning before Tuesday’s update.

“She is OK. He did not fall or stumble or anything out of the ordinary. He just felt something maybe behind a strain, ”said Brooklyn head coach Steve Nash. “So just one setback and then the scan revealed that he did suffer a setback. So there’s not much more than disappointment and we have to rebuild it and get it going.”

The Nets could not guarantee that Harden would return before the start of the playoffs, which will begin in the middle of next month. He averages 25.4 points, 11 assists and 8.7 rebounds since the operation.
