Christina Ricci’s estranged husband seeks a restraining order against the actress, accusing her of excessive drinking and domestic violence.
Heerdegen’s request for a restraining order for domestic violence comes days after Ricci, 40, asked for a restraining order, according to court documents obtained Friday on page Six. His order was granted.
In his order, according to the Daily Mail, Heerdegen claimed he would get into a drunken rage in front of him and his son Freddie. He alleged that she would have no idea what happened when she finally got sober and that she had to check Freddie’s bottles at some point when she was breastfeeding.
“This presentation is nothing more than an abusive and transparent attempt to silence my client,” Ricci’s lawyer, Samantha Spector, told us in a statement. “It simply came to our notice then. Christina will not be intimidated by Mr. Heerdegen and his rain of misleading claims, and remains determined to protect her family. “
Ricci and Heerdegen tied the knot in 2013 and welcomed their son Freddie in 2014. The actress filed for divorce in July 2020 following an alleged domestic battery incident.
Ricci filed for primary legal and physical custody of 6-year-old Freddie as part of his divorce. He also asked the court not to allow visitation rights to Heerdegen.
In his own documents filed Friday in opposition to his request, Ricci told the court he believed Heerdegen had filed the order in retaliation for she order, filed earlier in the week and which was unnecessary.
