Japanese manicure: the trend imposed by Rosalía – People – Culture

One of the things that has caught the attention of Spanish singer Rosalía is her nails. Ever since his music started sounding, this part of his body has stood out for being extravagant.

Now, however, it seems that he decided on a more modest and artistic style, known as ‘Japanese manicure’.

His extravagant style

The performer of ‘El mal voler’ came to use her nails as another accessory of her style.

Each design she wore is loaded with color, brilliance and eccentric details, which she used to combine with her wardrobe. Likewise, it was surprising for its extravagant length.

What is this trend about?

Japanese manicure is not new. Centuries ago it was used in the Asian country among high-income families and, over time, became popular among the rest of the population.

For starters, nail size is personal taste, they can be short or long. Additionally, the main feature of this technique is to provide the greatest possible nutrients to the nails, using moisturizers and other products.

Some people choose not to even apply nail polishes or, if they do, they are less invasive and instead give their nails a special powder finish. Others, like Rosalia, choose to apply nail polishes, but keep the size short.
