Aquaman Star Jason Momoa has revealed the new look of the King of Atlantis in the sequel. Momoa traveled to Instagram to share her images as Arthur Curry Aquaman and the lost kingdom. The first photo shows Momoa in the green and orange dress reminiscent of the original look of the Aquaman comic. A second image shows Momoa’s Aquaman in a darker dress. Momoa writes, “Second round. New suit. More action. #Aquaman Aloha j” You can take a look at the two embedded images below. Momoa arrived in London to start shooting the sequel to her 2018 DC Comics superhero film in July.
“I’m finally in England,” Momoa’s video partly says. “It’s sunny, it’s amazing and I’ll start Aquaman 2 tomorrow. This is the last day of brown. I will be blonde. Supposedly [they] have more fun. I don’t know that. We will try it. But I’m excited to see it [director] James [Wan], see my entire cast “.
James Wan directs the sequel again. It is inspired by an amazing source and plans to increase the angle of terror on its second outing with the franchise.
“Aquaman 2 is very inspired by The planet of vampires“You can get the boy out of the horror, but you can never get the horror out of the boy.”
Regarding the change of tone, he said, “That’s partly because they weren’t familiar with the comic, which deals with this weird and weird world. People were surprised he didn’t throw all that stuff and it got dark, heavy film. “But I didn’t think it would have been appropriate. So with the second film I think it will be easier for people to accept where we are going because I have already laid the groundwork.”
Aquaman and the lost kingdom will represent the upcoming DC FanDome virtual event. Written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, the film stars Momoa as Arthur Curry / Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.
