Jamiroquai star Jay Kay was forced to deny involvement in the Washington riots on Thursday after fans compared him to a tattooed defender who showed up at the protests.

The 51-year-old singer joked that while he was a fan of the protester’s furry hats, “it wasn’t his crowd” who violently stormed the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.

Many stars have condemned President Donald Trump after urging supporters to protest his electoral loss to Joe Biden in the Washington Capitol building, which resulted in the deaths of four terrorized politicians who were saved.

In his Twitter video, Jay put on an American accent and said, “Good morning world. Now maybe some of you will think you saw me in Washington last night, but I’m afraid I wasn’t with all those monsters.

He continued to offer his support to blocked fans and his band that he had not seen for weeks, and thanked his fans for his birthday wishes after turning 51 last month.

Jay captioned his video: “Good morning Washington, loving the hats, but I’m not sure it’s my people. Stay safe at all, J xxx.”

The tattooed protester has become a device for far-right protests thanks to his attractive appearance, with horns, a fur hat and American-themed face paint.

Authorities lost control when riots broke into the Capitol building, vandalizing and raping, with part of the MAGA crowd arriving at Nancy Pelosi’s office.

Several celebrities have urged politicians to invoke the 25th Amendment, which states that the vice president will take control if the commander-in-chief is “unable to fulfill the powers and duties of his office” – and that his term ends two weeks soon.

The protests coincided with the Republican congressional dispute over election results ahead of Biden’s scheduled January 20 inauguration.
