Teams keep calling, but so far the jeans don’t listen to them.
Although Deshaun Watson wanted to leave Houston and demand a trade, the Texans still insist they have no interest in leaving it, according to an ESPN report.
The report states that the teams “have received the message” and are privately confident that Houston will change position, but according to sources, they plan to stand firm and have no interest in letting go of Watson.
Both the Texans ’new GM, Nick Caserio, and head coach David Culley have publicly stated that they have no desire to change Watson. It seems that the organization stands firm in this position.
It could lead to an ugly showdown between the two sides, as sources close to Watson said he has no interest in ever playing any of the Texans again. He is hired until 2025, but has not yet spoken to Caserio or Culley.
It is rumored that Watson will have the Jets at the top of his list of potential destinations. Other teams he has been interested in are the Dolphins and Broncos.
