Jen Psaki criticized the “homophobic” tweet about Lindsey Graham

White House press secretary Jen Psaki has been set on fire for referring to Senator Lindsey Graham as “Lady G” in an old tweet that has been criticized as grassroots and homophobic.

The August 5, 2020 post sparked a backlash when it resurfaced this week on Twitter, and several people asked Psaki to apologize for using the phrase “offensive” and “deaf.”

“Only in 2020 #LadyG manages to push a bunch of denied conspiracy theories while questioning @SallyQYates (also known as the American hero).” Psaki tweeted.

The comment came when former Attorney General Sally Yates was due to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Graham (R-SC).

The hashtags #LadyG and #LadyGraham tended to Twitter last year after a gay porn star made a series of allegations against the South Carolina lawmaker online and claimed that “Lady G” was his nickname among male sex workers.

Left-wing critics have long hinted that Graham, 65, is a gay man who was not married and had no children, according to Fox News. He has denied the rumors.

Several Twitter users blasted Psaki over the tweet.

Richard Grenell, who served as former intelligence director for former President Donald Trump and is openly gay, wrote, “Homophobia and intolerance of the left are growing.”

“It simply came to our notice then. @PressSec ” added.

Journalist Glenn Greenwald pointed out: “Liberals have full and complete exemptions from the rules of speech to which everyone else is subject.”

“A very disappointed person in his position would adopt this style policy,” Graham spokesman Kevin Bishop said in a statement.

“It says more about her than about Senator Graham.”

Psaki did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Post.
