Jessica Campbell, an actress known for her roles at McKinley Institute and Election, has died at the age of 38.
According to Variety, Campbell’s family announced that the performer died on December 29, 2020 in Portland, Oregon. Campbell retired from acting to become a naturopath and lost consciousness after seeing one of his patients. She could not be resuscitated and at the moment the cause of her death is yet to be determined.
Campbell debuted as an actress in 1992 in the TV movie For the Good of Children giving life to Julie Cain. In 1999 she landed her second role and played Tammy Metzler in Election, a film in which she coincided with Matthew Broderick and Reese Witherspoon.
Already in 2000 he participated in McKinley Institute. She appeared in two chapters playing Amy Andrews. Her next job was The Security of Objects, a film starring Glenn Close in which she played Julie Gold. Its last work was Junk, film sent in the year 2002.
After hearing the news, Witherspoon shared an emotional message on Instagram. “I have a broken heart after learning this. Working with Jessica in Election was a pleasure. Sending all my love to Jessica’s family and loved ones,” she tweeted.
A relative of Campbell has organized a GoFundMe campaign to pay for the funeral and help Oliver, the 10-year-old son of the deceased. “A true adventurer in every sense of the word, Jessica amassed an astonishing amount of experiences in her tragically short life,” it can be read on the web.
