JetBlue adds RDU flights to San Francisco, Las Vegas, Austin :: WRAL.com

– JetBlue plans to add seven destinations to its schedule at Raleigh-Durham International Airport next year, officials said Thursday.

The airline will add daily service to Austin, Texas; Newark, New Jersey; and Jacksonville, Orlando and Tampa, Florida, Feb. 11. Daily service in San Francisco and Las Vegas will begin on March 4th.

JetBlue’s added flights include Cancun, Mexico; Montego Bay, Jamaica; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Fort Myers, Florida, last month, and its first nonstop flight to Los Angeles takes off on Friday.

The latest additions will bring JetBlue’s network to RDU to 15 non-stop markets (up to three years ago), linking it with Southwest Airlines for the more non-stop markets served by RDU, officials said. Flights to Los Angeles and San Francisco are only the second and third non-stop flights to the west coast from the Triangle, which join Delta’s daily flight to Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, American Airlines will resume nonstop service at Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC, on Jan. 7, officials said.
