Jets looking at Patrick Graham of the Giants for the job of head coach

The Jets ’search for a coach takes them to their own garden.

Gang Green has asked to meet with Giants defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, according to NFL Network, after firing coach Adam Gase on Sunday night.

Graham, a 41-year-old Yale product, has garnered a lot of attention this season, directing the Seahawks ’annoyance to the 17- to 12-year-old Giants during Week 13. Under his control this season, the Giants finished 12th. place in the general defense and in ninth place in scoring defense.

Graham joined Joe Judge’s Giants squad (his second stint with the team) this season after spending time with the Patriots, Packers and Dolphins. Graham is expected to be a commodity, as head coach jobs open up around the NFL, there are already six vacancies.

They are likely to join the Jets in search of Graham, who in the safety of Logan Ryan once called “the Black Picasso” for his defensive efforts, are the Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans and Los Angeles Chargers.
