Jewel-Osco offers customers the COVID – NBC Chicago vaccine option

Jewel-Osco offers its customers the choice between which coronavirus vaccine they want to make an appointment with.

The grocery chain offers customers the option to choose the vaccine they want when looking for an appointment when they are available.

At the company’s vaccine scheduler, customers can select whether to check appointments with Pfizer or Modern two-shot vaccines or Johnson & Johnson’s unique vaccine.

“Osco Drug Pharmacy offers customers a selection of vaccines based on the allocation they receive,” a company spokesman told NBC.

While there are many options for residents to look for coronavirus vaccines, many do not offer the option to choose the vaccine.

That could change, however, as Illinois expects an influx of vaccine supplies in the coming days.

According to Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are expected to rise sharply “very soon.”

“We expect to see a significant number, millions of doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine begin very early in the next few days,” the governor said during an unrelated press conference on Friday. “And we expect Johnson & Johnson to increase steadily, just as we continue to see an increase in Pfizer and Modern.”
