U.S. President Joe Biden has said he was devastated after the United States attack near Capitol which left one officer dead and another injured yesterday Friday.

Pittman said there is no evidence available about his motivations or police records about him.

This incident comes after the assault on the Capitol building perpetrated on January 6 by Trump supporters who wanted to disrupt election certification. The group sought to prevent the official results of the November election in which Biden won Trump, after the former Republican president claimed without providing evidence that there was fraud in the election.
Five people were killed in the January incidents, including a Capitol police officer. Since then, top security officials have warned that there is a threat from far-right groups and supporters of former President Trump.
