Simmons has struggled to find his pace with the jumps since he entered the league in 2016; more recently, he was criticized for going 35% of the charity and averaging 9.9 points per game in the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Atlanta Hawks.
It’s not ideal for a former No. 1 general selection … but Iso Joe, who is known for his clutch shots, doesn’t care at all, saying he knows the 25-year-old will find his way.
“Honestly, I don’t think anything happens there,” Johnson tells us. “You see him playing shooting vans, fadeaways, three … so we all know he’s there.”
True, Ben worked Rondo region before this low season … where it was recorded on three video drilling videos.
“You just have to have the same confidence you have in picking it up and translating it into an NBA game,” Johnson adds. “That’s all. You’ll miss it and make shots. You can’t care about the fouls. You just have to keep taking them.”
Johnson says talent isn’t clearly the issue … but when BS goes on the track, he has to remember it’s this man.
Joe makes it seem easy … but all eyes will be on Ben to see if he can find his flow once he arrives next season.
