Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons will miss the All-Star Game in Atlanta

Teammates in the Philadelphia 76ers, Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, were ruled out for the All-Star Game in Atlanta after having contact with a barber who tested positive for coronavirus, the NBA confirmed.

The league will not replace the 76ers duo with new players. Sixers coach Doc Rivers said “it doesn’t look great” for either of them to play Sunday night. Zion Williamson will replace Team LeBron at Embiid.

Both Embiid and Simmons traveled to Atlanta on Saturday night on private jets and have remained in quarantine, which was the protocol of all Star Game participants.

The NBA feared an outbreak involving the best players in the league in Atlanta and took important precautions to isolate those entering and leaving. However, there is nothing to do with Embiid and Simmons.
