Justin Bieber’s affiliation with “Hillsong” church detonated the church’s popularity and made it one of the most attractive, especially among young people.
The singer is now demarcating himself from this congregation, and explains in a recent post that he is also not preparing to be one of its spiritual leaders, as has recently been rumored.
“I’m not studying to be a pastor or anything like that. I have no intention of doing so,” the Canadian reiterated, according to Opinion Showbiz.
Hillsong, originally from Australia, announced in recent months the dismissal of his famous pastor Carl Lentz as a result of a “moral error”; it was later learned that this was an infidelity in their marriage.
The congregation has also had to deal with rumors that the organization operates as a “private club,” with preferential treatment to its famous members.
Showbiz notes that Bieber even got to live with Lentz’s family after his breakup with Selena Gomez and even asked her to baptize him in 2014.
However, the pop star no longer recruited him to officiate his wedding to his now wife Hailey, celebrated in 2019.
