INGLEWOOD, California. – It only takes a handful of moments for the Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields to make an impact in Sunday night’s opening game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Bears coach Matt Nagy had periodically inserted Fields into the game during the first 2 1/2 quarters before Chicago incorporated his first round with football on the Rams ’3-yard line at the end of the third quarter.
Fields fired the shotgun and faked a pass to runner Damien Williams before throwing the ball back, running to the right and cutting the field up to beat the Rams defense for a 3-yard touchdown, getting the bears to be six points at 20-14.
