Justin Thomas wants to get a mulligan.
The PGA Tour star was named homophobic on Saturday during the third round of the Sentry Champions Tournament in Kapalua, Hawaii.
Thomas threw the bewilderment into the fourth hole after losing a pair of 4 feet per pair, and they caught him with a Golf Channel microphone.
Thomas, 27, who has won the PGA Championship and the 13 events of the PGA Tour, apologized when he discovered his disconnect was captured on television after his round.
“It simply came to our notice then. I’m an adult, I’m an old man, ”Thomas told the Golf Channel after his round. “There is no reason for me to say anything like that. I’ts horrible. I am extremely embarrassed. It’s not who I am. It’s not the kind of person I am. But it is … unfortunately, I have done it and I have to do it and I am very apologetic.
Thomas promised to learn from this incident.

“It simply came to our notice then. I am speechless. … it’s bad, “Thomas said.” There’s no other way to say it. I need to do better. I need to be better. It’s definitely a learning experience. I deeply apologize to everyone and everyone who I have offended and I will be better for it ”.
Thomas is 17 and tied for fifth, four times behind third-round co-leaders Ryan Palmer and Harris English.
