Vice President Kamala Harris is on fire after images show her laughing when asked about the deadly chaos in Afghanistan.
The vice president, heavily criticized for her delay in tackling the disaster that began after the United States withdrew despite the resurgence of the Taliban, was already smiling broadly when she addressed reporters on Friday.
A journalist tried to ask about her “response to the Americans,” but the vice president interrupted her before she could finish.
“Wait, wait – slow everyone down!” Harris said, before letting out his now famous laugh, shaking his shoulders as he laughed.
The vice president was finally controlled for insisting that the Biden administration “could not have a higher priority now” than Afghanistan.
Harris, who has previously been criticized for similar reactions at seemingly inappropriate times, spoke as she headed abroad, but not to Afghanistan.
Instead, he traveled to Asia to make stops in Singapore and Vietnam, ironically the sites of previous military humiliations between the United States and the United Kingdom.

“Apparently, he thinks it’s a matter of laughter,” one person tweeted while images of his rascal spread on social media.
“This is as a Saturday Night Live skit – unless it is real and does not act. Nothing to laugh about, ”wrote another person, while others showed a meme where laughter was their response to every emotion.
“How not? trained to laugh yet? Asked another.
Other observers were outraged that he was heading to Asia while insisting that Afghanistan was the main concern.

“A higher priority, while she goes anywhere, but where she should be,” one person said, while another said it was “why am I going to get on this plane and leave this catastrophe self-inflicted.”
“Kamala Harris says the administration couldn’t have a higher priority than Afghanistan … Is that why he’s traveling to Vietnam and Joe Biden has been on vacation half the time?” another person tweeted.
On Monday, Harris repeatedly refused to participate when asked what he thought should be done differently in the retreat.
“There is no doubt that there will be and should be a solid analysis of what has happened,” he said at a press conference in Singapore.

“But right now there is no doubt that our focus must be on the evacuation of American citizens, Afghans who worked with us, and vulnerable Afghans, including women and children.”
The vice president’s repeated dismissals come as she continues to participate in the polls. According to a Rasmussen Reports poll released Thursday, 55% of likely voters say the former California senator is “unqualified” or “not at all qualified” to take over the presidency.
The trip is Harris’ second foreign trip to office – he visited Guatemala and Mexico in June – and will be the first time an American vice president has visited Vietnam.
