Kansas City bosses release former Michigan footballer DE Taco Charlton

It was supposed to be a fresh start for the former NFL first-round draft pick, but now Taco Charlton is looking, again, for a new home.

Charlton participated in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft when he was selected by the Dallas Cowboys. However, it never completed the form and requested a release in 2019, which was awarded by the prolific Jerry Jones franchise. Claimed to resign that same year, Charlton ended the season with Miami, but the Dolphins resigned before the 2020 season.

But the champions came calling.

After winning the Super Bowl, the Kansas City Chiefs signed for Charlton and it was a key reserve until the LCL was torn for the first time in week 6 and fractured his leg in week 9. Although now is healthy and ready, Charlton was a victim of the training camp, as the bosses announced his release on Monday.

When he enters his fifth year in the NFL, Charlton will be looking for a new home again. The good news is that he put a good job on the tape in 2020 and he sure won’t be a free agent for long.
