And Kate Hudson spoke Sunday about her experience as a mother, specifically regarding her three children each with a different father.
The almost-famous 41-year-old star sat down today on Sunday for a virtual chat with Willie Geist, in which she commented, “I have multiple parents, I have kids everywhere.”

“The only expectations I really have high in my life are with my kids and family things,” he continued.
“Other than that, it’s like letting it go … I work with my ** off, and then I leave, and I hope for the best.”
Kate shares her eldest son Ryder, 17, with her ex-husband Chris Robinson, young son Bingham, nine, with her ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy and daughter Rani Rose, two, with her partner Danny Fujikawa .

In the interview, the Skeleton Key star also reflected on what it was like to grow up away from her own father, actor and musician Bill Hudson, whom she referred to as a 41-year-old.
“I think estrangement is, unfortunately, pretty common and I think it’s important for people to talk about it,” Kate shared.
Sometimes [people] we need a little talk and humor to move to places where we can heal some of the wounds that have affected our families.

Kate is the daughter of Oscar-winning actress Goldie Hawn and, along with her brother Oliver, was raised with the help of Goldie’s partner, Kurt Russell.
“I have a lovely mother,” actress Fool’s Gold shared. “I have a stepfather who stepped in and played a huge role sharing what it’s like to have a reliable father figure in our lives, but it doesn’t take away that we didn’t know our father.”
Kate also talked about how it is during this strange period of home confinement with her children, who range in age from toddler to teenager.

“I want to be,‘ Yeah, it’s so fantastic and we’re finding out … ’but the reality is that there are days that are fantastic and there are days that I have to remember to be grateful for,” Hudson said.
“I never thought about a million years that I would spend a year in one place,” she also shared, referring to herself as a “gypsy” who loved to travel as a working actor.
“When you have so many kids, sometimes you have moments where you hide in the bathroom and say,‘ Please, please get me out of here! “
“I just remind myself that there are a lot of people who have lost their loved ones and we need to stay a little longer,” he added.
