– William and Harry did not walk side by side at their grandfather’s funeral on Saturday, but on Sunday Times reports that they could be on their way to royal reconciliation thanks to “family peacemaker” Kate Middleton. By Time, the Duchess was the first to dialogue with Harry while members of the royal family left Prince Philip ‘s funeral at Windsor Castle. Then William joined in and Kate slipped behind to give some space for the siblings to chat. The death of Philip, 99, came just weeks after Harry’s Oprah bomb interview, along with his wife Meghan Markle, who is pregnant and had to remain in California.
The sibling relationship has been strained ever since. As People points out, this was the first time the brothers who were already thieves had been together for more than a year since Harry resigned from his royal duties to move to Canada and then to California with Markle and his son Archie. He Time Harry reports that he will remain in Britain for several days after his grandfather’s funeral in order to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s 95th birthday on Wednesday with his family.
