Katharine McPhee gives birth, welcoming her son with David Foster

Katharine McPhee will now sing lullabies in her new bundle of joy.

The 36-year-old performer has welcomed her first child, a baby, with her husband David Foster, 71, her representative confirmed on page Six on Wednesday.

“The mother, father and son do it wonderfully,” their representative told People in a statement.

McPhee, who has been married to Foster since June 2019, first fueled pregnancy speculation in October, when the “American Idol” student was photographed showing off her baby lump. Sources later confirmed the pregnancy to People.

Grammy winner Foster has five older daughters from previous relationships: Amy, Erin, Sara, Jordan and Allison.

Foster and McPhee first dated in 2017 and debuted on the red carpet at the Met Gala a year later. In July 2018, the couple got engaged while on holiday on the Italian island of Capri.

“He made it to the top of this mountain in Anacapri,” McPhee posted on Instagram at the time.

“Only totally dark stars. Luckily he didn’t push me off the cliff. He said he was one of the others and in the end he saved me “, he continued.

McPhee was previously married to Nick Cokas, while this is Foster’s fifth marriage. He was previously married to BJ Cook, Rebecca Dyer, Linda Thompson and, more recently, Yolanda Hadid. The former star of the “Beverly Hills Royal Housewives” filed for divorce in January 2016.

A McPhee representative did not immediately return our request for comment.
