Kevin Durant ruled out for Friday’s game of the Brooklyn Nets at the Cleveland Cavaliers

Kevin Durant was ruled out for the Brooklyn Nets’ Friday night game against the Cleveland Cavaliers for rehabilitation from his Achilles tendon injury.

Durant played more than 50 minutes in the Nets ’two-game losing streak to the Cavaliers on Wednesday. During scoring 38 points, with 12 rebounds and 8 assists upside down.

Friday is also the first night of a back-to-back, as the Nets are scheduled to play the Miami Heat on Saturday night.

Durant played in both back-to-back games once this season, on Jan. 12 against the Denver Nuggets and Jan. 13 against the New York Knicks. While saying that being able to play consecutively was one of his goals after the Achilles tendon injury that kept him out all last season.

During the right Achilles tendon was torn in June 2018 during the NBA Finals. For an average of 31.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6 assists per game this season.
