Kevin McCarthy defends Dr. Seuss with a dramatic reading of “Green Eggs and Ham”

He will read Seuss here or there, he will read it anywhere.

House minority leader Kevin McCarthy tweaks the warriors of the canceled culture with a heartfelt reading of Dr. Seuss “Green Eggs and Ham” on Twitter.

“I still like Dr. Seuss, so I decided to read Green Eggs and Ham,” the California Republican said. he wrote Friday night, urging viewers to “RT if you still like it”.

The message was accompanied by a five-minute video of McCarthy solemnly presenting the much-loved book and his mascara tale of Sam-I-am and his nasty culinary creation.

It came a few days after the news that six of Seuss’s best-selling children’s books will no longer be published due to alleged racism in its pages.

Sales of the six books: “If I Ran the Zoo,” “And to Think That I Saw It at Mulberry Street,” “McElligot’s Pool,” “On Beyond Zebra !,” “Scrambled Eggs!” and “The Cat’s Quizzer” – shot after the ad, and online auction site eBay canceled sales of vintage copies after it began selling for hundreds of dollars.

On Saturday morning, Seuss fans had given McCarthy’s video 2.6 million views on Twitter and nearly 10,000 retweets.
