House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-California) on Sunday issued a capital letter opposing vaccine warrants.
“NO VACCINE OBLIGATIONS,” he simply read her message.
McCarthy’s message did not mention a specific vaccine. However, it occurs when Republicans fight President Joe Biden’s push to demand that most Americans be vaccinated against COVID-19.
The congressman was one of the first people in the U.S. to receive a coronavirus vaccine. He tweeted about getting a “safe and effective” shot on December 20, just nine days after the Food and Drug Administration issued an emergency use permit for the firing of Pfizer.
Vaccine warrants have been common throughout U.S. history.
McCarthy’s critics were impatient with his capitalized message:
If it weren’t for McCarthy knowing, but he also knows the rubies he needs, he would feel the need to remind him for the thousandth time that vaccine mandates are perfectly constitutional both historically and through Jacobson’s previous SCOTUS v. Massachusetts. . https://t.co/Lh2OO88Ve8
