Days after he threw a tantrum over the move to his closet, Kevin Porter Jr. reportedly will end his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Cleveland changes goalkeeper to Houston Rockets in exchange for future protected second-round pick, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Porter, a selection from the first round of the 2019 draft, reportedly had a blast on Friday after discovering that his old wardrobe had been reassigned to the bull prince. Porter’s new locker was in an area designated for younger players and the bench, according to Jason Lloyd, Joe Vardon, Kelsey Russo and Shams Charania Athletic.
Porter reportedly threw food into the locker room when he got upset, and required the intervention of Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman. The team has been trying to change Porter since the incident and it was decided to release him if no agreement could be reached.
The trade comes two months after Porter was involved in a car accident where he was arrested and charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, non-control of the vehicle and possession of marijuana.
Porter has not played this season due to personal issues. He averaged 10.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 50 games as a debutant last season.
