Instagram also allegedly alerted accounts about the post’s withdrawal because it was sued for copyright infringement, claiming the image belonged to Kardashian, with an email linking to a member of her team. The Daily Beast understands that Kardashian’s camp reached at least two Instagram accounts over the photo.

In a statement on page six, Romulus does not deny that Kardashian’s team pushed the accounts to remove the image, saying that while it was a “beautiful” photo of the reality star, it was published by “error”.

They said it was one of the few times they had heard of a celebrity claiming “copyright infringement” for these photographs.
