The Vikings have a kicking problem.
Kicker Dan Bailey missed three field goals and an extra point in the loss to the Buccaneers. This week, Minnesota announced that it would release an expeller from the training squad: Tristan Vizcaino.
With how bad the Vikings have been at the standpoint recently, it’s not a big shock that the team is looking at other options.
According to the NFL Transaction Cable, that seems to be the case. Earlier this week, the Vikings reported a test with pitcher Taylor Bertolet and now the team has another.
Here is the latest proof of Vikings, according to the transaction cable:

Catanzaro, a product of Clemson, has relationships with the Cardinals, Jets, Giants, Panthers and Buccaneers.
His most recent stage came with the Giants, a team that released him before the 2020 season after signing with the team in August. He has a good range (at one point he scored a 60-yard field goal in a game), so it will be interesting to see if the Vikings like it or not.
It may just be an option for the workout squad, but maybe it can beat Bailey for the starting spot over time.
