Kid Cudi wears a floral dress during the SNL performance, in honor of Kurt Cobain and Chris Farley

First, he wore a T-shirt with a picture of Chris Farley during his rendition of “Tequila Shots” from his latest album “Man on the Moon III: The Chosen.” Farley, a former member of the SNL cast, died in 1997 at the age of 33.
Many Twitter users also noted that the green T-shirt Kid Cudi wore during the performance resembled the one Kurt Cobain wore. The Nirvana singer committed suicide in 1994.

But this was not the only tribute.

For his rendition of “Sad People,” Kid Cudi turned into a floral dress, which he did he tweeted was in honor of Cobain. Kid Cudi’s performance fell the same week as the anniversary of Cobain’s death, April 5th.

“Virgil designed the dress for me,” Kid Cudi wrote, referring to designer Virgil Abloh. “I told him I wanted to show love to Kurt wa’s floral print dress and this man did a masterpiece.”

Kid Cudi also tweeted that he was making a collection with the Abloh fashion label Broken white and that the dress would be included.
