Puerto Rican player Enrique “Kike” Hernandez reached a two-year, $ 14 million deal with the Boston Red Sox, several U.S. media reported Friday.
The versatile joins the franchise where compatriot Alex Cora serves as leader and Christian Vazquez as starting receiver.
The 29-year-old Boricua spent the past six seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He participated in three Autumn Classics and was a member of the ninth that won the last edition of the World Series.

Hernandez became a free agent and Boston was one of the organizations that immediately showed interest. pray, who returns to the managerial post after serving a year of suspension, to get to know Hernández well when they were both part of the ninth in Puerto Rico that was runner-up in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
In the shortened 2020 season, Hernandez beat 230 for five home runs and 20 RBIs.
