Kim Kardashian calls Northwestern Bob Ross-inspired painting “classic”

The Northwest joins the ranks of “classical” artists, at least in the eyes of Mother Kim Kardashian.

Immortalizing his daughter’s Bob Ross-inspired painting, which caused a stir about its authenticity a few weeks ago, Kardashian posted on her social media channel.

“I just had to post this bc, it’s a Northwestern classic!” the proud mother, 40, wrote on Tuesday alongside a photo of the artwork.

Earlier this month, TikTok user Camryn Fred turned to the popular social media app shortly after fans began to wonder if the 7-year-old North would be able to rip off the paint, explaining that West actually painted the impressive work under the instructions Fred’s Mother, an art teacher.

“My mom taught me how to do this and taught North how to do the same thing two weeks ago,” Fred revealed. “She’s been an art teacher for 30 years and everyone who comes to her classes goes through that same painting when they start.”

Before Fred came to the boy’s defense, Kardashian herself spoke for her daughter.

“DON’T PLAY WITH ME WHEN THEY COME TO MY CHILDREN !!!” said the founder of Skims in her Instagram story at the time. “My daughter and her best friend have been taking a serious oil painting class where her talent and creativity is nurtured and nurtured.”

“North worked incredibly hard on his painting, which took several weeks to complete,” he continued. “As a proud mother, I wanted to share her work with everyone. I’m seeing pieces posted on the media and on adult social media that break down whether my son really painted this or not. How dare you see kids doing fantastic things and then trying to accuse them of NOT being amazing!?!?! ”
