Everyone was waiting for King Philip VI to comment on the latest controversies about his father and the position he had chosen when dealing with the legal problems he has about. Although he did not mention his name, he spoke about the delicate situation in which the emeritus is living and somehow made clear his opinion on the matter.
“Moral and ethical principles oblige us all without exception, and are above any consideration, of any nature, even of persons or relatives” with these statements King Philip VI alluded to the complicated situation that lives at home, especially in the media decline that is suffering King John Charles I since the beginning of the year.
And we must not forget that although for the vast majority of spectators and citizens, King Philip VI is this, the King of the country and Head of State, is also ‘son of’.
