CLEVELAND – Knights guard Kevin Porter Jr. is expected. be changed or released after a burst Friday in the Cavs locker room. Athletic has learned from various sources with direct knowledge of the facts.
Porter, 20, who has not played this season for personal reasons, was angry when he walked into the locker room and realized the team had ceded his old wardrobe to Taurean Prince, which was acquired Wednesday in a business at the box office.
Sources said Porter, whose closet was moved to the wall where the youngest players on the bench reside, started yelling and at one point threw food.
Sources said general manager Koby Altman walked into the locker room and faced Porter, and the player continued to struggle with his boss. The Cavs spent the weekend trying to change it.
Coach JB Bickerstaff heard the commotion in the locker room from his office and entered, surprised and disgusted by what he heard.
