In the last hours, members of the Technical Agency for Criminal Investigation (Atic) and the Honduran Naval Force participated in an operation to intercept and confiscate alleged drugs northeast of Grossa Falls, Caratasca Lagoon. Thank God.
26 packages containing 819 kilos of apparent cocaine were found in a boat. Five men were on board the small boat, who were immediately arrested by the authorities and later sent to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The interception of the three-engine speedboat was coordinated by the Attic under the technical and legal direction of the Special Prosecutor’s Office Against Organized Crime (Fescco), giving data, route and location to the authorities of the Honduran Naval Force.
The insured vessel and the suspects were transferred to the Caratasca naval base for a rigorous inspection and quantification of the packages.

Later, the department Against the Organized Crime of the Attic, with support of the Honduran Air Force, realized the respective transfer towards the air base Hernán Acosta Mejia in Tegucigalpa.
