Earlier this month, Capcom revealed to Lady Dimitrescu, one of the main antagonists Resident Evil Village. The character quickly became a fan hit, inspiring cosplay, fan art and more. Twitter artist @Countgate joined the club with an impressive piece of pixel art meant to evoke Marvel Vs. Capcom! In the picture, you can see Lady Dimitrescu doing a short Gambit job, preparing to finish the X-Man with her hand curled up high. It’s a very fun piece and shows how well the character would fit in with the fighting game franchise.
The @Countgate art can be found embedded below.

It really is amazing how good the character looks in the style of classic Capcom arcade games. Just from the play, it looks like Lady Dimitrescu would translate well as a 2D fighter. Of course, Dimitrescu would not be the first Resident Evil character to appear in the Marvel Vs. Capcom, so it’s entirely possible that it could end up in a future entry, if its popularity continues after the release of Resident Evil Village. For now, fans will just have to wait and see what comes next for the character.
Despite Dimitrescu’s immediate rise in popularity, Capcom has yet to reveal much information about his character. The villain will clearly be a problem for protagonist Ethan Winters, as will her daughters; in Capcom’s recent Resident Evil Showcase, Dimitrescu’s daughters can be seen transforming into locust plagues attacking the player. While the character will clearly be in charge of this particular group, the Showcase also revealed that Dimitrescu will respond to someone named Mother Miranda. It remains to be seen exactly who this figure is, but it must be quite intimidating if Lady Dimitrescu answers her!
Resident Evil Village will launch on May 7 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. In the meantime, you can check out all of our previous game coverage here.
