Lainez to the Champions? Betis ‘erased’ clubs and was awarded a ticket

Seville, Spain /

Al Betis de Diego Lainez and Andrés Guardado they do not walk on branches. If UEFA said that the clubs that play the Superliga will be expelled from the Champions League (among many other sanctions), the green-and-white team took things very seriously. and on its website, a ticket was arranged for the contest, removing the first three places in the Spanish classification.

In such a way that of being in the sixth place of the League, which does not give a European place, Betis jumped to the third place that would give the direct pass to Champions; that’s because Atlético de Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid, Founding clubs of the Superleague, would be expelled.

However, the modification that Betis made to the table on its website, it only lasted a few moments, because some time later they brought it back to its reality in which the Mexican team is in sixth.

‘IT’S ELITIST AND SECESSIONIST’

Now, why did Betis happen to be so drastic on his website? Well, the answer lies in one communiqué, Where they qualified for the European Superleague as follows:

“Real Betis and Laliga strongly condemn the announced proposal to create a European secessionist and elitist competition, Which attacks the principles of open competitiveness and sporting merit that occupy the deepest part of the national and European football ecosystem. ”
