Eusebio Sacristan suffered a head injury Wednesday night at his home in Valladolid and a few hours later was taken to a hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.
The coach’s last spell in the cavity was with Girona. He previously spent three seasons at Royal Society in LaLiga Santander, four with Barcelona B and two seasons with celta Vigo.
Eusebio turned in a dismal performance, however Valladolid and debuted with the first team at just 19 years old.
After four seasons, he moved to Atletico Madrid, before heading out to Barcelona a season later. At the Blaugrana, he enjoyed seven successful seasons, winning four league titles, a European Cup, a King’s Cup and the Champions Cup.
From Barcelona he moved to celta Vigo, before returning to Valladolid during the last four years of his career and retired at the age of 38.
