Let Lana Del Rey get over it after going out with a cop. A confirmed source at People that Del Rey is engaged, after wearing a strong ring during his return from December 14 in the evening Tonight’s show. Your new friend? Clayton Johnson, former singer of a YouTube cover band with his siblings. People added that Del Rey, 25, and Johnson, 31, met in a dating app, and according to the report, they started following him on Instagram in August. Johnson has since posted photos with Del Rey on his account, along with his appearance on Del Rey’s Instagram Election Night live from Denny’s.
Johnson had a musical career of his own in the pop band The Johnsons with his two brothers, Chantry and Connor. They covered pop songs on their YouTube channel, which garnered nearly 90,000 subscribers, with the first video, a cover of Magic’s “Rude”! Released in July 2014. Her most popular video is a cover of Rihanna, Paul McCartney, and Kanye West’s “FourFiveSeconds,” which has 1.5 million views. The Johnsons never covered Del Rey, but covered several songs by their sister Jack Antonoff Taylor Swift, so it was worth it. (And this cover of “New Romantics” is a little funny, isn’t it?) They also released their own music, including the cheeky SEO capture of a song “Calvin Kleins” and “Scream,” produced by former Eve 6 drummer Tony Fagenson. Billboard he called the Johnsons “seriously sticky pop music” when the dam released “Scream” in 2017, which he called “an irresistible jam.” We have to agree. Sadly, the Johnsons ’last song posted on YouTube was their original“ Call Me Whenever ”in May 2017. But hey, maybe Caleb can add some harmonies to his next promise’s next album?
