WWE has announced that Lana is out of TLC after an angle that took place on Monday’s Raw episode.
Raw was told Monday that due to being attacked by Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax before the show, Lana will not be able to fight TLC. Raw women’s champion Asuka and a pair she has chosen will now challenge Baszler and Jax to the women’s pay-per-view Tag Team titles.
With whom Asuka will team up on TLC has not been revealed.
Lana defeated Jax on Raw this week, fixing her after fighting for a Samoan fall attempt from the second rope. As Asuka celebrated Lana’s victory behind the scenes, Baszler ambushed her. Jax then attacked Lana in the ring. Baszler and Jax defeated Lana and ended the attack with Baszler bending Lana’s leg back and Jax giving him several falls. Then Asuka recovered and ran out to save.
WWE said Lana had been taken to a local medical center and had “devastating injuries to her elbow and leg.” Later, Raw, Baszler vs. Dana Brooke ended up in a disqualification when Jax interfered and pushed Brooke off the top rope. Mandy Rose ended up with a kendo stick to save Brooke after the game. He attacked Baszler and Jax with the kendo stick, but Baszler was able to get away. Then Asuka attacked Baszler and helped Brooke and Rose clean the ring.
