Larry King’s surviving children described him as an “amazing father” in a sense of homage, which they shared hours after the news he died Saturday.
In their joint statement, posted on Facebook, the children affected by the star he reflected on his legendary life and his compassionate parenting style.
“We are saddened by the death of our father and, along with our extended family, regret his passing,” wrote Larry King, Jr., Chance King, and Cannon King.

The three noted that while the world knew Larry King as a great broadcaster and interviewer, “he”he was the man who lovingly obsessed with her daily schedules.
In addition to caring for their well-being, the trio said their father was proud of their achievements, regardless of whether they were “big, small or imagined.”
“With all this, we knew, without a doubt, the world that he loved us more than life itself. He was an amazing father and was fiercely loyal to the lucky ones to call him friend. We will miss him every day of our lives, “they reflected.

King is believed to have caught the virus from a health worker visiting his home, a source told NBC. One of his children, who has not been named, has also tested positive, they said.
His advanced age and poor health put him at high risk. He had suffered numerous health problems in the past, such as a heart attack, prostate and lung cancer, a stroke and type 2 diabetes.
His recent battle for health culminated in a difficult year for King, whose two children, 65-year-old Andy and 51-year-old Chaia, died of a heart attack and lung cancer, respectively. a week apart in August 2020.

Despite his poor health, he had continued to host a weekly talk show, Politicking with Larry King, until his death.
“For 63 years and across radio, television and digital media platforms, Larry’s thousands of interviews, awards and global recognition are a testament to his unique and enduring talent as a broadcaster,” Ora Media said.
“Funeral arrangements and a memorial service will be announced later in coordination with the King family, who are currently requesting their privacy.”
Described as “Muhammad Ali of the broadcast interview,” King conducted more than 50,000 high-profile talks with presidents, world leaders, Hollywood royalty and sports stars over the course of his career, which it spread over six decades.
He was also known for his series of high-profile romances and unsuccessful marriages, eight in all with seven different women, including Playboy Bunny Alene Akins.

Of his eight marriages, King had five children and nine grandchildren, as well as four great-grandchildren.
He last married Shawn Southwick, 26 years his junior, with whom he shared two children, Chance, 21, and Cannon, 20. The marriage was King’s longest, which lasted for 22 years until the couple separated in 2019.
Tributes came to the veteran talk show host after his time on Saturday morning, with fellow TV stars Keith Olbermann, Piers Morgan and Steve Kornacki, who respected the legend on social media.
