When it was revealed in February, that Tom Brady he underwent knee surgery for an injury that would keep him away from team activities until at least in June he understood some eyebrows.
A 43-year-old quarterback undergoing knee surgery that will make him fall for a few months is important, come what may. But luckily, everything seems to be going well with Brady’s recovery. “I talked to him last week,”Bucs GM Jason Light said, through ESPN.com’s Jenna Laine. “I know things are going well. I don’t want to put an exact timeline right now because I don’t want to set expectations one way or the other, but I know things are going really well“.
Apparently, the injury wasn’t off the team’s left field either, and the procedure was planned for a while. Brady had been planning to have surgery for months and the news “wasn’t a surprise” for the Ships, a source told Laine.
Licht also called it a “minor surgical procedure,” though it may not actually be as minor if Bruce Arians said in February that he had Brady’s hope. I could do a job from 7 to 7 in June. Viously, obviously, if there’s anyone who doesn’t need a lot of low-season time, it’s Brady, but that will remain an element to be controlled, as the ageless wonder will be set at 44 in August.
